Book 2: Mark

The main teaching of the book of Mark ('al-Markus') is the power of Hozrot Isa al-Mosi’s work and actions. Allah gave Hozrot Isa al-Mosi power over every kind of ability and power of Satan. He had power to heal sick people and drive away demons, power over nature, that is, the air and wind and everything created, and even power over life and death. Allah also gave him the power to forgive the sins of those who repent and believe on him.

In chapter 10 verse 45 of the book of Mark, Hozrot Isa says, “Remember, I, bin-Adam (the 'Son of Man'), did not come to be served, I actually came to serve. And I have come to give my life to save the lives of many people.”

Hozrot Mark (r.a.) wrote this book by the command of Allah. He was the assistant of Hozrot Isa al-Mosi’s Companion Hozrot Peter (r.a.). According to what is known from history, Hozrot Mark received Allah’s command and wrote this book after hearing it recited from the mouth of his teacher Hozrot Peter. It was written in the form of a book about 25-30 years after Hozrot Isa was taken up to heaven.
