Book 5: Acts

In this book of Acts ('Sahabi Nama', or 'History of the Companions)' we read how, by the power of Allah’s Holy Spirit, Hozrot Isa al-Mosi’s Companions and followers went and preached Allah’s good news first in Jerusalem town, then in the present-day regions of Judea and Samaria, and finally, via many places in the continents of Asia and Europe, as far as Rome, the capital of the Roman empire, and how in all these places many new Isayi jamaats came into being.

This book describes how the Companions and Hozrot Isa’s followers went on journeys to peach Allah's good news and in doing so experienced much persecution and misfortune, from their own people, from other peoples and from various kinds of idol worshippers, and how they endured the pain and misfortune, imprisonment, oppression and whipping. Even so they continued to preach and Holy Allah always greatly helped them, and through them various kinds of miracles were revealed. That is why, group by group, people believed.

We find in chapter 1 verse 8 of this book that Hozrot Isa says to his Companions, “When the Holy Spirit is established on you you will receive Divine power, and by this power you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”

Hozrot Luke (r.a.) wrote this ‘Companion history’ book at the command of Holy Allah. From the holy noble Injil it is known that Hozrot Luke’s profession was a traditional doctor. Staying in the service of Hozrot Paul (r.a.), Hozrot Isa’s Companion, he used to preach Allah’s message to various peoples in various countries.

This volume was written as a book around 30 years after Hozrot Isa went from the earth to heaven. This ‘Sahabi Nama’ (or 'History of the Companions') book is the second book written by Hozrot Luke, earlier he had written the book called the gospel according to Luke (or ‘al-Luke’).
